Project overview
We know that staying connected is hugely important to everyone in the Arlen Hill area. We also know from previous engagement exercises that transport infrastructure in the area is in need of updating, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists. Route 215 is an important cross-country route that supports millions of car journeys per year. However, it separates two towns, Smallville and Mediumville, and we’ve heard frustration from residents that the only easy way to get from one to the other is by car. Drivers travelling from Smallville to Mediumville must drive down the 215 a fair distance until they reach the Junction 12 overpass.
We are proposing a new overpass which will directly connect Smallville and Mediumville residents. The overpass will feature lanes for traffic, as well as designated cycle paths and accessible pavements for pedestrians.
This project is an important piece of infrastructure that will create local jobs, boost the economy and benefit residents for generations to come. In order to make sure it’s the service residents need and want it to be, I encourage every resident to get involved and have their say on our proposals.
