Traffic Regulation Order: South Boroughs, Arlen Hill
South Borough Traffic Regulation Orders pretext
This activity aims to collect public opinion on the three proposed TROs in the South Boroughs area. On the next page you will see a map of the area with each of the TRO locations marked. You can click on these points to find out more about about the TRO in that location.
Once you have had a look at the map, you will be navigated to a list of the TROs where you can select which one you would like to read more about and comment on. You will then have the option to return to the map if you wish to comment on another TRO.
What are TROs and why do we need them?
A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is the legal document required to support a range of measures, which govern or restrict the use of public roads, including:
- Double yellow lines
- One-way streets
- Banned turns
- Bus lanes
UK law requires that TROs be in place to enable the police or, in the case of yellow lines and bus lanes, the council, to enforce these restrictions.
